PAPUA New Guinea Kumuls head coach Justin Holbrook says they will stick with the lineup announced on Tuesday for the Pacific Bowl Championship opener against Cook Islands this weekend.
Holbrook confirmed that Super League ace Edwin Ipape and Melbourne Storm powerhouse Justin Olam will miss Sunday’s game but will be available for the second test at the National Football Stadium.
The Kumuls will feature 12 players from the Prime Minister’s 13 side with six fresh faces headlined by Jack de Belin set to make their debut in front of the home crowd.
“We’d love to have Edwin here but he copped a one game suspension from his last match in Super League and Justin Olam is still out with knee injury…his doing rehab in Melbourne so there will be no changes to the side we have named, but they could possibly come in for the Fiji game,” the former Titans mentor Holbrook said in press conference yesterday.
