Tottenham have confirmed that academy centre-back Pele Arganese-McDermott has now signed a new long-term deal with the club.

Arganese-McDermott was born in Marbella, Spain, and moved to England when he was just four years old. The teenager came through the ranks of the Luton Town academy before making the switch to Hotspur Way in 2021.

The 18-year-old penned the first professional contract of his career last summer and the youngster recently made his debut for the club’s Under-18s,  having come off the bench twice in the Under-18 Premier League this season (Transfermarkt).

It appears as if Arganese-McDermott has done enough in those two cameo appearances to impress the Spurs academy coaches, with the club now confirming that the centre-back has put pen to paper on a new contract that runs until 2026.
