Heath Streak’s former teammate Henry Olonga has been forced to retract claims the former Zimbabwe cricket captain had died. Olonga wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that Streak had died at age 49, but has since walked back the claim and revealed a message from Streak that he’s ‘very much alive’.
“I can confirm that rumours of the demise of Heath Streak have been greatly exaggerated,” Olonga wrote. “I just heard from him. The third umpire has called him back. He is very much alive folks.”
