Socceroos Abroad: Boyle nets double, Duke scores late winner, St Pauli and Bolton target title and promotion

Martin Boyle scored a double to restore some positivity to the Hibs camp while Mitch Duke came off the bench to score a last-minute winner midweek. 

Elsewhere, Jackson Irvine and Connor Metcalfe will be hoping St. Pauli can claim a maiden 2. Bundesliga while Gethin Jones’ Bolton could secure promotion to the Championship.

Starting in Scotland, where Martin Boyle (cap #599) played a full game and scored two goals as Hibernian returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Motherwell on Thursday. Olyroo Nectarios Triantis also played 90 minutes.

The Edinburgh club went into their penultimate match on the back of a turbulent few days in which they lost 4-0 at home to Aberdeen and sacked boss Nick Montgomery.
