Fremantle will have a big call to make on Matt Taberner this off-season, with a Dockers’ great fearing the injury-plagued forward has played his last game for the club.
The 30-year-old Taberner, who has been restricted to just four games this season, has been back playing WAFL for a month as Freo continue to give young forwards Jye Amiss and Josh Treacy game time.
He’s kicked eight goals in those four games, but hasn’t earned a senior recall.

With his former forward line partner in Rory Lobb already gone from the club, Taberner hasn’t been able to build an AFL-level bond with Freo’s young attack line after undergoing back surgery in April.
And now Dockers great Paul Haselby says can’t see Taberner playing for the club again.
