Luckless Storm star Ryan Papenhuyzen has detailed the “horrendous” pain he felt after the gruesome ankle injury he suffered a month ago and what his road to recovery looks like.
It was a heartbreaking sight for many to see Papenhuyzen screaming out in pain that night, considering the Storm utility had only just returned from a lengthy 13 month lay-off on the sideline due to a serious knee injury.
Papenhuyzen had returned to the Storm line up for their penultimate round clash with the Titans but in just his third game back, broke and dislocated his ankle after a teammate landed on it awkwardly.
