Penrith halfback Jack Cogger will return to the Knights in 2024, inking a three-year deal with his former club.
The 25-year-old made his debut for Newcastle seven years ago and after short stints at Canterbury and Huddersfield, signed on with the reigning premiers as a back-up playmaker this season.
Cogger has filled in for Nathan Cleary in recent months, producing three try assists in six games, but has now locked in his long-term future in the red and blue jumper after receiving interest from multiple NRL clubs.
The crafty playmaker will compete with Tyson Gamble for a spot in the halves alongside Jackson Hastings.
