A heartwarming video has captured the moment Manly Sea Eagles back-rower Haumole Olakau’atu surprises his parents with their first home after the came to Australia from Tonga with ‘nothing’.
The eldest of five children, Olakau’atu was raised in western Sydney after his parents moved from Tonga to Australia in the late 1990s seeking a better life.
The NRL star decided to show his appreciation for all that they’ve done for him by surprising them with a new home on Monday.
The emotional video from realestate.com shows Olakau’atu’s parents Ana and Ofa arriving at the home in the Sydney suburb of Hinchinbrook, with his mum crying before the family puts up the ‘Sold’ sign.
