GGordon Chan Kum Tong earns his time on NRL big stage

Years of hard work, determination, and the desire to prove ‘people wrong’ will all pay off for rising young hooker Gordon Chan Kum Tong on Sunday.

The exceptional 21-year-old hooker finally gets the chance at NRL level to showcase his skills and creativity after Manly Coach Anthony Seibold called him into the team to play Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Accor Stadium.

Ironically, Chan Kum Tong makes his debut against the Bulldogs after starting his league career with the Bankstown Bulls in the Canterbury competition, where he often heard how he was too small to make it in rugby league.

A switch to Manly at the age of 15 saw the former Westfield Sports High student him come through the Sea Eagles Pathways Program.
