Panthers prop Spencer Leniu has been ruled out for the next month after suffering a knee injury against the Bulldogs last weekend.
Scans revealed Leniu has a moderate grade MCL strain and the Roosters-bound front-rower might not return until finals.
Leniu will at least miss clashes against the Sharks, Sea Eagles, Titans and Eels.
The Sharks have been dealt a brutal blow with a key forward’s season over after undergoing surgery on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Sharks veteran Dale Finucane wasn’t named come Tuesday’s team lists and it has since been revealed the gun lock has been ruled out for the season after suffering a biceps injury in Round 22.
According to a club statement, Finucane underwent surgery to repair the injury on Tuesday.
