Dylan Brown stood down, Parramatta Eels, sexual touching charges, who replaces him, Clint Gutherson, Daejarn Asi

There are fears the situation regarding Dylan Brown could “damage” the rest of the Eels’ system as Brad Arthur scrambles to replace the star five-eighth.

Brown has been sidelined under the NRL’s no fault stand down policy after being charged with five counts of sexual touching another person without consent.

The 22-year-old first appeared in court on Wednesday but isn’t due back in court until June 28 — meaning the Eels will likely be without Brown for three games.

However, as News Corp journalist Michael Carayannis pointed out on NRL 360 that’s the “best case scenario because we know how long these cases drag out, so who knows if he plays again this year.”
