Sam Burgess’ time at the South Sydney Rabbitohs has come to an end.
The club legend walked out the door on Wednesday morning following a meeting with club powerbrokers.

Burgess left the club’s offices at 9am where he was picked up by his partner, stating on his way out “I wish the boys all the well,” according to the Sydney Morning Herald’s Michael Chammas.
“Burgess parts ways with South Sydney with season on the line. He just left the club for what appears to be the last time,” Chammas wrote.
Souths chairman Nick Pappas was stopped by reporters on his way out and stated: “There will be a release from the club that summarises everything. We wish Sam all the best.”
