Mysterious item found on Western Australia beach identified

Australia’s Space Agency has identified the object that washed up on a WA beach two weeks ago. The object belonged to the Indian Space Research Organisation and was most likely debris from an expended third stage of a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle.
