LIV Golf’s Australian broadcast rights picked up by Seven

Free-to-air (FTA) Australian broadcaster Seven has acquired rights for the 2023 LIV Golf season.

Contract:

  • Live and on-demand coverage of all 14 LIV Golf events will be available on the 7Plus streaming platform
  • Seven’s linear channels to broadcast the series’ Australian tournament, which is being held at Adelaide’s Grange Golf Club

Context:

The deal marks the Saudi-backed golf tour’s first broadcast rights partnership in Australia, adding to its multi-year pact with The CW Network in the US.

Ahead of the current LIV Golf season, which teed off on 24th February, the series launched its own streaming platform across 180 global territories outside of the US.
