Bryson DeChambeau has won his first LIV Golf title in extraordinary and historic fashion, shooting a 58 to earn an amazing victory at The Greenbrier.
The former US Open champ’s 12-under performance at the course in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia, on Sunday was the first round under 60 so far recorded in the two-year history of the fledgling league.
He won $US4 million ($A6.1 million) for his effort as he finished with a 23-under par total of 187 for the tournament, topping second-place finisher Mito Pereira, of Chile, who shot a 63, by six shots.
Matthew Wolff had fired a 61 on the par-70 layout on Friday at the Old White course, tying Harold Varner III for the lowest score in LIV’s brief history.
But DeChambeau obliterated the mark on Sunday with no less than 13 birdies.
