GWS unveil new chair as foundation boss stands down

GWS have unveiled their new club chairman, with foundation boss Tony Shepherd stepping down after more than a decade in charge.

AFL: Geelong Cats have bolstered its coaching staff with the acquisition of Steven King as an assistant coach.

Reed takes on the role after Tony Shepherd stepped down from the position at the end of this season.

Shepherd has been chairman of the Giants since their foundation in 2011 and has been an integral part of their success across the past decade.

Reed comes into the role with an extensive business background. He has previously been the CEO at MYOB, and is a current non-executive director at Transurban, managing director of Potentia Capital and president of the Business Council of Australia.
