Mr Reed said he admired the work of Mr Shepherd, who helmed the AFL’s youngest club through a period where it contested six finals in 12 years.

“The opportunities for both the Giants and the AFL as a code are significant and I am delighted to be given the opportunity to chair a hardworking and capable team as we seek continued success on-field and building our base off the field,” Mr Reed said.
