The South Australian, who this week was named in the Australian T20 squad for a series in South Africa, took a record-breaking 3-1 in his first game in the UK Hundred as he delivered one of the most incredible performances in tournament history.
From his allotted 20 deliveries playing for the Oval Invincibles, Johnson, 27, was virtually unplayable, bowling 19 dot balls as well as claiming three scalps.
His figures were the most economical 20-ball effort in the three-year history of the competition and left him “speechless”.
