Heavy rainfall in Mason caused the cancellation of Monday’s night session at the Western & Southern Open, impacting several matches. Tuesday’s order of play at the Lindner Family Tennis Center now includes 34 first-round matches with Cincinnati natives JJ Wolf and Peyton Stearns set to take the court.
Wolf, ranked No. 44, has reached a semifinal (Atlanta Open) and a quarterfinal (Citi Open) this summer on American soil. He faces Alex de Minaur in the first round, who has reached the finals at his last two events. Stearns, currently at a career-high ranking at No. 55, lost to No. 14 Daria Kasatkina Alcaraz in straight sets on Tuesday morning and will play later in doubles.
