Qualifying rounds have wrapped up and the main draw is underway across the board at the 2023 Western & Southern Open. Five Grand Slam singles champions and other key players were slated to take the court among the 31 matches scheduled for Monday, but four separate rain delays caused several cancellations.
Cincinnati natives J.J. Wolf and Peyton Stearns were not on the schedule for Monday, nor were any of the top 8 ranked players in the ATP or WTA due to first-round byes. Both Cincinnati locals will play in the singles draw on Tuesday with Stearns matched up against No. 14 Daria Kasatkina at 11 a.m. on the Porsche Court and Wolf set to face Australia’s Alex de Minaur on Court 4 later in the evening.
Stearns is also in the doubles draw with partner Emma Navarro against Victoria Azarenka/Beatriz Haddad Maia (Brazil) in the Court 8 nightcap.
