Newcastle Jets coach Craig Deans has lambasted his side after a horror first half against red-hot Adelaide United, declaring the 4-0 halftime scoreline ‘embarrassing for the club’.

Newcastle coach Craig Dean told Fox Sports at halftime: “Well look it’s unacceptable, it’s embarrassing for the football club. We have a lot of work to do. There’s no time to sulk or feel sorry for ourselves, we need to get on the pitch and make amends for the first half. Not good enough.”
