Toby Greene loses bump suspension appeal, Jesse Hogan overturns striking ban in appeal, GWS Giants latest news, video

GWS went one-for-two at the AFL Tribunal, freeing Jesse Hogan from his striking ban but failing to overturn Toby Greene’s one-match suspension for bumping.

Greene was found to have acted unreasonably by bracing, after realising he could no longer mark the ball – and thus he was not contesting the ball – in a collision with Carlton’s Jordan Boyd.

But the Tribunal agreed with the Giants that Hogan’s impact on Carlton’s Lewis Young was negligible and thus the charge was dismissed.
