The World Cup is upon us, and the Wallabies are looking vulnerable.
Since Eddie Jones replaced Dave Rennie as head coach earlier this year, Australia has suffered five consecutive Test defeats, including last week’s heavy loss to host nation France.
Jones, who led Australia to a World Cup final in 2003, has remained optimistic about the Wallabies’ chances after unveiling a youthful squad ahead of the quadrennial tournament.
The Australians have fortuitously been placed on the ‘easier’ side of the draw, and the Wallabies will cruise into the knockouts if they can survive group stage matches against Fiji and Wales.
