Bulldogs enforcer Luke Thompson is reportedly hopeful of signing with the Roosters on a contract worth considerably less than this current $800,000-per-year salary.
The 28-year-old is in the final year of a turbulent four-year spell at the Belmore-based club, having played only 41 games and only three this year.
According to Channel 9 reporter Danny Weidler, Thompson is keen on making the move to the Tricolours to fill the void left by Matt Lodge and Fletcher Baker’s off-season departure.
