The future of star prop Payne Haas’ remains uncertain beyond the end of 2024, and club legend Gorden Tallis believes the situation is becoming an unnecessary distraction for the Broncos.
There are reports that Haas rejected a three-year extension with the Broncos worth $1.1 million a season in order to test himself on the open market on November 1.
Haas, who will celebrate 100 NRL games against Parramatta on Friday night, didn’t give much away when speaking to reporters on Tuesday.

“I’m still in dialogue with the Broncos at the moment. I’ve got a good relationship with Kev and the Broncos. We both know where we are at and we understand which other and what we want,” Haas said.
