Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs becomes the first NRL club to offer free menstruation products

Menstruation should not hinder performance, period, and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are on a quest to ensure this remains the case.

In a move to ensure their players are well supported, the team today announced it will be the first NRL club to offer free menstruation products.

The change saw dispensers and sanitary bins being installed in all female bathrooms and locker rooms at Belmore Sports Ground ahead of the four NRLW teams arriving.

The decision was made in the wake of staff and players highlighting that the issue is holding back athletes from signing up or staying in the game.

“We just saw it as an absolute no-brainer”, Bulldogs CEO Aaron Warburton told Deb Knight on 2GB earlier today.
