Raiders star Jack Wighton has been charged after an ugly exchange with referee Peter Gough during the final seconds of his side’s win over the Tigers.
Winger David Nofoaluma reeled in a Luke Brooks kick with seconds on the clock before throwing the ball to Starford To’a who was deemed to have been hit high by Wighton.
The Raiders celebrated what looked to be a two competition points secured before the Bunker intervened and reviewed the incident.

While Gough was awaiting the instruction Canberra’s five-eighth could be heard saying: “You’re trying hard to give this to them. You’re trying hard. That was a good tackle.”
