Former Collingwood president Eddie McGuire has dropped a bombshell report, suggesting West Coast’s board is considering sacking coach Adam Simpson, who’s allegedly aware of the situation.
And McGuire also reported Eagles chief executive Trevor Nisbett would not seek a contract extension beyond next season.
West Coast seems destined for this year’s wooden spoon, sitting 18th on the AFL ladder with a 2-19 record and a percentage of 50.6. The club’s paltry record has led to significant heat on premiership coach Simpson, who’s publicly maintained his determination to lead the club through the rebuild.
