Eels star Nathan Brown conceded the last month has been “very tough” after making his return to first grade against the Tigers on Saturday.
Brown, who has played 129 NRL games and is a two-time New South Wales representative, was dropped to reserve grade in Round 15.

Around the same time it was revealed that the Eels had given the 29-year-old permission to talk to rival clubs about an immediate release despite being contracted until the end of 2023.
Brown was a late addition to Parramatta’s 17 after Ryan Matterson was ruled out due to a rib injury.
