AFL commentator Gerard Healy says it is “comical” Lance Franklin would be willing to move to a third AFL club over a pay dispute with the Swans.
Reports emerged on Wednesday that Franklin was willing to turn his back on Sydney over a “lowball contract offer” of $500,000 to play on in 2023.
That offer is less than half what he is earning in 2022, and well down on the $700-$800,000 he is demanding, according to AFL360 co-host Mark Robinson.

Healy said he was “surprised” details of Franklin’s contract had become public and was shocked the reported half a million dollar deal was considered lowball.
“It would be crazy for mine, it’s unedifying,” Healy said on Sportsday Radio.
