Sylvan Lake’s Brady Durkin has returned home after representing Canada on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour team at the Jack Newton Junior Golf International Junior Classic in Australia.
The four-day tournament, which took place from Sept. 26-29, had over 450 competitors from across the world including Australia, Canada, Japan, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Samoa, the United States, and Singapore.
It also featured both individual and team-based competition throughout the event.
“We were treated exceptionally well by the Australians and the tournament offered invaluable international exposure to our young golfers,” said MJT Team Canada Co-Captain, Luke Rundell in a media release.
“It is really great being a part of the MJT, giving these kids and our members opportunities like this is amazing.”
