The Castle Hill Golf Club member will play his second PGA Tour event this week at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota, having recorded a phenomenal round of 60 at the Monday qualifier, where Gale produced fireworks on the back nine.
Making four straight birdies from the 10th hole, Gale made a rare par at the par-4 14th before another two consecutive birdies followed by a par at the penultimate hole.
That birdie blitz was already likely going to be enough for the Sydneysider to secure a place in the 3M Open field, but he was not done yet.
Sitting 117 metres from the hole of the par-4 last, Gale struck a perfect Gap wedge that rattled the flagstick and found its way to the bottom of the cup.
