Toby Greene tribunal hearing, Giants consider appeal, tribunal rules, Bayley Fritsch hit

The Toby Greene case is not closed yet, with the Giants officially lodging paperwork to appeal the tribunal’s verdict.

However Fremantle will not appeal the tribunal’s decision to uphold Andy Brayshaw’s one-match ban.

It comes as triple premiership Lion Jonathan Brown said it was “an absolute disgrace” tribunal rules prevented the Giants from showing another striking incident from earlier this season during the Greene hearing as a precedent in a bid to strengthen their case.

Greene’s two-match suspension for striking Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield was reduced from two games to one on Tuesday night after the tribunal found the MRO’s ‘high impact’ grading was, instead, medium.
