North Melbourne condemns former rookie racist post in response to Heritier Lumumba

North Melbourne will revoke a former rookie player’s impending past players association membership after he posted a racist comment on social media.

The Kangaroos released a statement on Monday night condemning a remark in response to Heritier Lumumba’s recent comments about the AFL’s handling of racism.

North said the ex-player, which it didn’t name but indicated he was rookie listed in 2012 and delisted in 2014 without playing a senior game, has since deleted the highly offensive post.
