Melbourne Cricket Club, Inside the exclusive Australian club, members unhappy with service

It’s one of the oldest and most exclusive sporting clubs in Australia, and there are 205,000 people on the waitlist chomping at the bit as they hope to get a piece of the action.

The unfortunate reality is that they will likely end up waiting more than 40 years to be granted an elusive membership to the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC). It even costs just to join the waitlist – at $135 a piece, while those aged over 25 years and over who are lucky enough to obtain a full membership need to cough up $790 annually for the privilege.

Meanwhile, those aged under 25 pay $635 and juniors aged 15-17 have a discounted rate of $475.
