Liverpool can undertake transfer business with Celtic in the summer as the Scottish giants are said to be interested in signing Reds goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. Kelleher is unlikely to ever dislodge Reds No 1 Alisson Becker and could be replaced at Anfield by Sunderland shot-stopper Anthony Patterson.
Kelleher joined the Liverpool academy from Irish side Ringmahon in 2015 and has gone on to play 32 games for the Reds first team. Two of those appearances have come in the Premier League this season, while the 25-year-old also started the Carabao Cup final in 2022 as his side defeated Chelsea after a penalty shootout.
According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are one of many clubs interested in signing Kelleher, with three Premier League teams watching the goalkeeper this season. Brentford, Brighton and Wolves all expressed an interest last summer, but Liverpool don’t want to lose him.
