Lions’ super sprinter signs on for two more seasons

A highly rated young gun has rejected rival interest to sign a new deal with the Brisbane Lions that will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2025.

AFL: Brisbane has made a premiership statement in a 24-point win over Collingwood at Marvel Stadium, 19.10 (124) to 15.10 (100) just a few short weeks out from finals.

The 20-year-old landed in Brisbane via pick 43 in the 2020 National Draft and has played 10 AFL games over three seasons including a trio of appearances this year.

An Australian Under-18 200m steeplechase champion, Sharp smashed the AFL draft combine 2km record by 20 seconds – clocking a blistering 5 minutes 28 seconds – and has established new fitness benchmarks since arriving at the Lions.
