Jarrod Bowen and Ollie Watkins are back in the England fold with the in-form strikers in line to get a run against the Socceroos in the prestige international friendly at Wembley.
The pair have been drafted back in by England boss Gareth Southgate ahead of the friendly against Australia on October 13, effectively a warm-up for the hosts before their 2024 European Championship qualifier against Italy at the same national stadium in London four days later.
Bowen, back in the squad for the first time since last September, has been flying for West Ham, the leading home-based marksman, having scored five Premier League goals to sit behind only Manchester City’s goal machine Erling Haaland (8) and Tottenham’s Son Heung-min (6) in the scoring charts.
Watkins, meanwhile, has snaffled four in his last two league games for Aston Villa, including a hat-trick against Brighton, and returns to action…
