The Colin Carter review has recommended that Tasmania deserves an AFL and AFLW license, reports The Mercury.
It’s believed that the former Geelong president has proposed three options for an AFL team in Tasmania: a 19th license, relocated team from Victoria or a joint venture with a Melbourne-based club playing most of its game in the Apple Isle.
AFL chief Gillon McLachlan is set to address the media at 10:15am (AEST) on Carter’s findings, but said on Thursday that there would be no definite answer on a decision.

The feeling of Carter’s review is believed to be mostly positive in hosting an AFL club in the state long term.
