Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Amir sue Australian cricket bat company

Former Pakistan cricketers Mohammad Amir and Kamran Akmal are suing one of the Australian cricket bat companies – Tazwin Sports for unauthorised use of their pictures.

The two players had signed for Aussie Cricket League (ACL) in 2022 to promote the game in suburbs of Melbourne.

In a statement released by the two Pakistan cricketers, the company delivered several bats but the fee of $3000 was not paid.

“The use of the photos were not permitted. Amir and Kamran has no direct relationship with Tazwin Sports. It is likely the two Pakistan players will lose future sponsorship opportunities as a result of the pictures,” court document states.

Kamran lost a $28,000 annual offer to endorse another brand in Australia. On the other hand, Amir failed to secure a contract of $30,000 and $5000 for another company.
