England is one step closer towards setting up an Ashes series decider a The Oval after opener Zak Crawley battered the Australians into submission on day two of the fourth Test at Old Trafford.
Crawley smacked 189 from 182 balls, including 21 boundaries and three sixes, as the hosts raced towards 4-384 at stumps, with captain Ben Stokes (24*) and Harry Brook (14*) unbeaten overnight.
The Australians will be organising a rain dance ahead of day three, which gets underway on Friday at 8pm AEST.
