Australia’s white-ball stars are staring at a possible 12-week tour of India spanning September, October, November and December after the BCCI scheduled a ODI series against India before the World Cup and a five-match T20 series after it.

As workload issues continue to be a source of frustration for both players and selectors the mammoth stay in the subcontinent, after a three month tour of England, could put huge pressure on nominal white-ball captain Pat Cummins.

The BCCI has scheduled the first of three ODIs on September 22, less than two weeks before the World Cup begins on October 5.

Should Australia make the final on November 19, that would already demand a nine-week stay, taking in an early arrival for the pre-tournament ODI series.
