SALT LAKE CITY — Quin Snyder yelled instructions to his Atlanta Hawks roster Friday morning, leading a pseudo practice at shootaround. It looked like the kind of shootaround he led so many times for so many years with the Utah Jazz.
The workout was lively, with a lot of clapping it up and positive vibes. And on the outside, Snyder was his usual self, upbeat though intense, ready for the Hawks’ matchup with the Jazz on Friday night at the Delta Center.
But the emotions and the stomach were churning on the interior. And that’s for good reason. Snyder has been to so many places in his coaching career, from college to the NBA, from the NBA to overseas. If there is a guy who will traverse the ends of the Earth for a job, it’s Snyder.
