The Seven Consulting Opals and Boomers will play games in Japan to maximise the international performance window for Basketball Australia’s national teams.
The Opals will face Japan in the Mitsui Fudosan Cup 2024 on June 22 and 23. The series will provide additional playing time for players prior to the Ford BALLIN’24 games in Melbourne from July 2 – 6.
“This collaboration with the Japan Basketball Association will allow for depth to Basketball Australia’s peak period of international experience,” said Jason Smith, Basketball Australia’s Executive General Manager of High Performance.
