The Sacramento Kings have eliminated the Warriors with a 118-94 play-in tournament win, avenging their NBA playoffs loss to Golden State last year.
With it, the Kings now travel to New Orleans to face the Pelicans on Friday (AEST) with a chance to book a first-round playoffs match-up with No.1 seed Oklahoma City.
As for Golden State, attention now turns to a pivotal summer and whether this was the last game for the team’s big three of Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
Thompson is a free agent and if this does end up being his last game for the Warriors it was a rough one, going 0-for-10 from the field in a scoreless game.
Thompson, who had averaged 23.1 points this month, was also targeted with success on the other end of the floor by the Kings.
