Northern Redbacks Women’s Soccer Club celebrate quartet reaching 200-game milestone

A binding team culture, cultivated by years of trophies, dedication and friendship, has helped four Northern Redbacks Women’s Soccer Club teammates reach an extraordinary 200 games together.

While it is not uncommon for a grassroots club to produce one player who notches 200 seniors games for them, the Redbacks proudly boast four of them, all of whom began their careers with the club around the same time.

The Redbacks are the State’s most successful women’s soccer club and can boast the likes of Matildas legend Lisa De Vanna and current Lazio assistant coach Nicola Williams, among their alumni, but their past decade has been guided by a quartet of long-serving players who have played a crucial role in its success over the past decade.

Renee Leota became the latest player to reach 200 games, following in the footsteps of her teammates Carla Bennett, Emily Dunn and Larissa Walsh.
