A-League, W-League double-header Sydney FC vs Melbourne Victory postponed as rain bomb hits NSW, Golden Slipper

Saturday’s A-League and W-League double-header between Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory at Jubilee Oval in Sydney’s south-east has been postponed because of rain.

It’s the latest sport to be forced to postpone its event as the rain-bomb hitting the NSW coastline shows no signs of relenting.

“Unfortunately the field has been unable to drain the amount of rain that has fallen at the venue,” APL commissioner Greg O’Rourke said on Saturday afternoon.”

A decision on whether the A-League match between Macarthur FC and Western United on Saturday evening at Campbeltown Stadium and the W-League fixture between Newcastle Jets and Canberra United at Newcastle No.2 Sportsground will go ahead has to be made.
