Penrith overcame a slow start to down South Sydney and move two points behind the Melbourne Storm in the race for the minor premiership thanks to the brilliance of Nathan Cleary.
The Panthers claimed a 25-12 win after Dane Gagai and Latrell Mitchell gave them an early 12-0 lead.

But Penrith came roaring back after losing Dylan Edwards to a HIA, scoring through Cleary and Brent Naden to trail by two points at the break.
Cleary added a penalty before Naden crossed for his second with less than 15 minutes left. Souths lost their way thereafter with Cleary adding a field goal with Api Koroisau scoring late to wrap the victory up.
