A fiery argument has erupted over perceived double standards by the NRL after Rabbitohs superstar Latrell Mitchell escaped punishment for his X-rated post-match interview.
NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo phoned Souths CEO Blake Solly on Saturday to arrange a meeting with Mitchell this week to discuss his conduct.
But the superstar avoided sanction and was not hit with a breach notice, sparking a debate between NRL360 host Braith Anasta and The Australia’s Brent Read.

“If it was another player in our game, Luai, would the NRL be sanctioning a meeting or would he be sanctioning him?” Anasta asked.
“There’s multiple players who if they came out and had such disregard for what’s accepted, Ricky Stuart said s*** in a press conference and he got a fine,” NRL360 co-host Paul Kent said.
