Concerns have been raised regarding Origin players backing up for their club team in the wake of superstar Nathan Cleary’s devastating hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old NSW halfback left the field only 14 minutes into the Panthers’ clash with the Dragons on Sunday afternoon, four days after Wednesday’s state vs state showcase.

Cleary is expected to miss up to six weeks leaving Blues coach Brad Fittler with a huge selection decision on his hands ahead of a career-defining trip to Suncorp Stadium.
